Mobile Physiotherapist

Did you know you can get a physio for a home visit? After surgery, a long stretch of pain, or just not much time left in the schedule, we understand getting to a clinic is not always simple. That is exactly when a mobile physio appointment makes sense. We bring expert, one on one treatment to your door, at a time that suits you, in the place you know best.

Mobile physio services for help that comes to you when and where you need it.

Mobile Physiotherapy Tailored to the Space You Live

There is a quiet advantage to a home visit physio that most people only notice once they have had one.

In a clinic, your physiotherapist sees you in their space.

On a home visit, they see you in yours.

They watch how you really manage your own stairs, get in and out of your actual bed, move around the kitchen you use every day. This allows your mobile physio to more easily tailor all the exercises, every piece of safety advice, and every adjustment around the life you actually live at home.

JC Care Services accepts NDIS, WorkCover, and Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Medicare, and Private Health Insurance (or out of pocket) patients for mobile physiotherapy.

Who We Help

NDIS participants and plan-managed support

Physio that works with your plan, not against it.

If you are an NDIS participant, a mobile NDIS physio can be one of the simplest ways to use your plan without the hassle of getting to a clinic.

We come to your home, work toward the goals set out in your plan, and help you build the everyday capacity that matters most to you, whether that is moving more safely, staying independent, or taking part in the things you enjoy.

Our NDIS physiotherapy is available to self-managed, plan-managed, and agency-managed participants, and we are happy to talk through how sessions fit your funding before we start.

Autism and physical confidence

Physio for autism, in the one place that already feels safe.

For a lot of autistic children and adults, the clinic itself is the barrier: new room, bright lights, an unfamiliar face and a noisy wait before anything even starts, often enough to unravel a session before it begins.

So the work that would genuinely help, the coordination, core strength, and balance behind managing stairs or joining in at the park, keeps sliding into the too-hard basket, and everyone’s confidence takes the hit. Physio for autism works differently when it comes to you.

In familiar surroundings, with the same friendly face each visit, there is no sensory ambush and nothing to rush toward. We follow your child’s lead, build strength and motor skills through activities that feel more like play than treatment, work with sensory needs rather than against them, and shape progress around real goals in the home where life actually happens.

NDIS neurological conditions

Specialist neuro physio, brought to your door.

For people living with a neurological condition, an NDIS neuro physio focuses on the movement, balance, and strength challenges that come with conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system.

Our mobile neuro physiotherapy supports NDIS participants with stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, and other progressive or acquired neurological conditions. Because we treat you at home, we can shape every exercise around the spaces and routines you move through each day, which can help your progress carry over into daily life.

We work at a pace that suits you, coordinate with your wider care team where it helps, and adjust the programme as your needs change, always with your NDIS goals guiding the way.

Long-term and progressive conditions

Caring for them, and looking after you too.

For conditions like Parkinson’s, MS, arthritis, or recovery after a stroke, gentle and consistent physiotherapy can support comfort, mobility, and dignity.

We work at a pace that suits the person, in familiar surroundings, with the same friendly face each visit. As we know that caring for a partner is demanding work, in our service, we also support you with safe handling and practical advice too.

Recovering from surgery or injury

Support for your recovery, without the waiting room.

If you are healing from a knee or hip replacement, a shoulder repair, spinal surgery, or a significant injury, the first few weeks matter most, and they are exactly when travelling is most painful.

A mobile physiotherapist brings your rehab to you while you need it, then supports you as you work toward your strength goals. Clear milestones, a programme tailored to you, and a physiotherapist checking that each movement is working with your recovery rather than against it.

WorkCover and workplace injury

Physio that helps you get back to your day, and your job.

If you are recovering from a workplace injury, a mobile physio brings your rehab to you and helps you work toward getting back to daily life and work. We build a programme around your recovery and the demands of your role, progress you safely, and provide the reports your claim requires. We work with WorkCover and insurers, and coordinate with your case manager toward the same return-to-work goals.

Older parents and independent living

Helping your mum or dad stay safe and steady, at home.

If you are arranging care for an ageing parent, you already know the worry. A home visit physiotherapist can be one of the most effective ways to support falls prevention, help rebuild confidence, and encourage someone to stay independent. We come to them, so there is no ordeal getting to an appointment, and you get the peace of mind of a trusted professional keeping an eye on things.

When you cannot be there, we can.

Busy lives and stubborn pain

Support for the pain while keeping your day.

If back, neck, or sports pain is getting in the way of work, sleep, or family, but clinic appointments simply will not fit your schedule, here a mobile physio may be the answer. Expert treatment that arrives when you need it, with early morning and evening slots, so you can address the problem without losing an afternoon to traffic and a waiting room.

Veterans (DVA)

Physio brought to your door, with the claims handled for you.

If you hold a Veteran Gold or White Card, DVA may fully fund your physiotherapy, including home-visit travel, and we handle the claims for you. We support veterans rebuilding strength and mobility, recovering from surgery or injury, and managing chronic or service-related conditions, all in familiar surroundings with the same physiotherapist each visit.

Conditions We Assist With

Our mobile physiotherapists are experienced across a wide range of needs, including:

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation (joint replacements, spinal and orthopaedic surgery)
  • Falls prevention and balance for older adults
  • Stroke recovery and neurological conditions
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Parkinson’s, MS, and other progressive conditions
  • Arthritis and chronic joint pain
  • Back, neck, and postural pain
  • Sports and soft tissue injuries
  • General mobility, strength, and confidence after illness or a hospital stay

If your situation is not listed, please still feel free to get in touch. There is a good chance a physio home visit can still help.

What to Expect From Your Mobile Physio Home Visit

Booking a physiotherapist home visit is straightforward, and knowing what happens takes the uncertainty out of it.

Before the visit. We take a few details about your situation, your goals, and any recent surgery, diagnosis, or injury, so your physiotherapist arrives fully prepared.

The first appointment. Your physio carries out a full assessment in your home, including how you move through your own space. You will talk through what you want to get back to, and leave the session with a clear plan.

Your tailored programme. You receive a treatment plan and exercises built around your body, your goals, and your home environment, with everything explained so you feel confident continuing between visits.

Ongoing support. Follow-up home visit physio sessions track your progress, adjust the plan as you improve, and keep you moving toward your goal, whether that is walking unaided, returning to sport, or simply getting through the day in less pain.

Frequently Asked Questions

A mobile physiotherapist is a fully qualified physio who treats you in your own home rather than at a clinic. You get the same professional assessment and treatment, with the added benefit of care shaped around your actual living space.

Yes, and for many people it is better. The treatment and expertise are the same, and seeing you in your own environment lets your physiotherapist tailor everything to the stairs, furniture, and routines you use every day. Some specialist equipment lives only in clinics, and if that is ever needed we will tell you honestly.

Anyone who finds travel difficult or inconvenient. That includes people recovering from surgery, older adults at risk of falls, those with long-term or progressive conditions, and busy people who cannot fit clinic visits around their lives.

We accept a range of funding pathways: NDIS, DVA, WorkCover, Medicare, and private health insurance, as well as people paying for themselves. If a scheme covers you, we work directly with your plan, card, or claim and handle the reporting. If you are not sure which pathway applies to you, just ask and we will talk it through before you book.

Possibly. If you live with an ongoing or chronic condition, your GP may refer you under a Chronic Disease Management plan, which gives you a set number of subsidised sessions each year shared across your allied health care. Medicare pays a fixed rebate toward each visit rather than the full fee, so there is usually a gap to pay on top. We will tell you that gap before your first appointment, so there are no surprises.

Usually yes, if your extras cover includes physiotherapy. How much comes back depends on your fund, your level of cover, and how much of your annual limit you have already used, so it is worth a quick call to check. You pay us for the session and we give you a detailed receipt with everything your fund needs to process the claim.

Not necessarily. You do not need a referral or a card to book with us if you are paying for yourself. A referral or plan only comes in if you are funding through Medicare, NDIS, DVA, or WorkCover. Plenty of people simply book and pay for their own sessions because it is the quickest way to get help.

We will give you clear pricing before you book, including any travel component for your area, so you know exactly what a visit costs and what a course of treatment is likely to come to. Just ask us for a quote and we will lay it out honestly.

You can book online or call us. We will ask a few questions about your needs and arrange a visit at a time that suits you. Here’s how to contact us
